Molecular Targets Laboratory
1050 Boyles St
Frederick, MD 21702
Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Advisor: Barry O’Keefe, Ph.D.
Research area: Isolation of bioactive proteins from marine aqueous extracts.
Post Doctoral Research Associate
Advisor: Robert H. Cichewicz, Ph.D.
Research area: Optimization of the Mammalian Microbiome pipeline for isolation and identification of novel anti-cancer and anti-microbials. Included initial collection, fermentation in three different media types, and activity guided fractionation for structure solution. At the height of operation we were screening ~200 bacterial isolates a week against MRSA, Candida, and Pancreatic cancer cell-lines.
Ph.D., Structural Biology
Advisor: Andrew M. Gulick, Ph.D.
Research area: Structural and functional characterization of domain choreography in Non-ribosomal Peptide Synthetases and identification of a putative virulence factor from a cryptic biosynthetic operon.
B.S., Biochemistry, Summa Cum Laude
Advisor: Rachell E. Booth, Ph.D.
Research area: Characterization of the assemblage and stoichiometry of the amiloride-sensitive epithelial sodium ion channel (ENaC) subunits.
